Claystone. Shales / claystone and sandstone with thin limestone bands with larger forams, molluscan shell fragments.

Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Lower boundary is unconformably overlies the Karwar Fm; or Calicut Fm (locally, which is also above the Karwar Fm)
Upper contact
Upper boundary is an unconformity below the overlying Mangalore Fm.
